Setting Alerts in ShareSuccess

Overview:

MSBSD Website > Employee Quick Links > ShareSuccess
  • Individuals can set alerts on specific apps (document libraries, discussion boards, etc.) to be notified when new items are added or things change.
  • Alerts are managed by the individuals.
  • Multiple alerts can be created on a single app. For example, you could create one alert for when new items are added and a second alert for then someone changes (or replies to) a post created by you. To set up multiple alerts, simply complete steps 2 – 5 for each alert you are creating.
 

Instructions:

  1. Open ShareSuccess and navigate to the site / app on which you want to receive alerts.

  2. Click on an item in the so that the “LIST” tab appears at the top of the screen.

  3. Click LIST > Alert Me > Set an Alert on this List.

  4. Complete the pop-up form that appears, looking to the item descriptions for assistance.

  5. Click “OK” to save your changes.

  6. To modify or delete an alert, click on an item in the so that the “LIST” tab appears at the top of the screen.

  7. Click List > Alert Me > Manage my Alerts

  8. To edit the alert, click on the Alert Title and make any changes using the same form that appears in step #4. Click “OK” to save.

  9. To delete the alert, check the box next to the Alert Title and click “Delete Alert.”

  10. From this screen, you can also Add Alerts, using the same form that appears in step #4. To do so, click “Add Alert.”
