Overview:
- MUNIS > Tyler Menu > Departmental Functions > Account Inquiry
- Account Inquiry allows you to view individual accounts and verify the expenses that have been paid from each account. “Drill down” into the yellow folders to see detail about Purchase Orders, Expense Claims, P-Card Transactions, etc.
- There are multiple ways to search, see the options below.
SEARCHING BY ROLLUP GROUP

SEARCHING BY ROLLUP GROUP:
Instructions:
- Open Account Inquiry (Tyler Menu > Departmental Functions > Account Inquiry)
- Click SEARCH.
- In “Rollup”, type your 3-digit site number followed by a “D” for Discretionary (ex: 009D).
- Click ACCEPT.
- The accounts will load:
- NOTES:
- The Account Code is indicated at the top of the screen, with a description of the account right below it.
- The four columns of data represent the current fiscal year and three years historical. Be sure to look at the column headers to verify the fiscal year.
- “Drill down” by clicking on the yellow folders next to the data you want to review. For example, click on the yellow folder next to “Actual (Memo)” for FY19 to see what was spent from that account.
- Use the black arrows at the bottom to click between account codes.
SEARCHING BY SEG FIND
The benefits of using a Seg-Find to get your information, is the ability to combine data into one detailed list.
SEARCHING BY SEG FIND:
- Open Account Inquiry Enterprise ERP -> Financials -> General Ledger Menu -> Inquiries and Reports -> Account Inquiry
- Click Seg Find in the top menu.
- Enter the segment you’d like to dive into. For example, if you know you purchased a supply (object code 450) but don’t remember which account you coded it to, (General Fund, Title Fund, SSASR Fund) you would search by object code 450:
- Click Enter.
- From here, there are two options available:
- Browse all account codes, by clicking Browse at the top of the screen. Browsing gives you the ability to sort by account code or amount in the account. To sort, click the header names at the top of the columns.
- Total all expenses into a single detailed list by clicking Totals: the blue circle in the top right of the menu. When you click totals, all detail for the account
- If you click the Totals button, all Orange folders are clickable. You can review actuals, encumbrances and budgets.
- Once you drill into a folder, you’ll see a detailed view of transactions. You can sort these transactions by clicking on the header column names. If you right click on a column name, you can add or remove columns from your view.
- One of the columns is titled “Account”. If you don’t see the “Account” column, right-click any of the other header column names, and you’ll get a drop down of columns that can be viewed. Make sure “Account” is selected.
- When you find your transaction from among the list, you’ll know exactly how you coded it, by looking at the “Account” column.
- To get more detail on a transaction, highlight the line, and click the green Detail button at the top of the page.
- The Detail button won’t work for P-Cards in new through Released status . To see the detail of those P-Cards, you must go to Purchase Card Statements and lookup the P-Card.
- Unposted p-card transactions will say “PCARD” in Ref4

BONUS FEATURES::
- Click BROWSE (located at the top of the screen) to see all the account codes in a list.
- Click TOTALS in the Icon Toolbar. If you pull in your Discretionary Budget, clicking TOTALS shows you the sum of those accounts. This allows you to easily compare totals across Fiscal Years.
Totals Screen (use the “Exit Totals” Icon to exit):
- Use the EXCEL Icon to export your active records to Excel.
- Select the columns to export. Click ACCEPT.
