Overview:
Instructions for managing District specific tasks on your Mitel Phones, including:
- Voice Mail Box Set up
- Retrieving voice mails remotely
Note: Specific model User Guides and Quick Reference Cards are available in the related article, “Mitel Phone User Guides” at the bottom right. (Call forwarding is located in the User Guide).
Mail Box Set Up:
Note: Mitel Phones staff voice mail boxes are set up the same; please note that there are two sets of instructions below, those using the second set are identified.
Instructions for sites with three digit internal dialing:
- Dial 6900
- Follow the voice mail setup prompts. When default password is changed to 1111 the staff user setup requires a password change.
- The default password is 1111, it may also be changed to 1234 when staff move. If neither work, please enter a service request for a mail box password reset and verify your phone 6 digit extension (See Request Service at bottom).
Instructions for other sites:
- Dial 6245
- Follow the voice mail setup prompts. When Admin Secretary reset default password to 1111 the staff user setup requires a password change.
- The default password is 1111, it may also be changed to 1234 when staff move. If neither work, please enter a service request for a mail box password reset and verify your phone 6 digit extension (See Request Service at bottom).
Retrieving Voice Mails:
- Dial into your phone from any offsite phone
- When it gets to voicemail dial * to get to the main voicemail directory.
- If the school has a call tree, when you dial * it will route you to the main school call tree. Dial * again to get to the main voicemail directory
- When prompted for mailbox number, enter your 6 digit extension (7 + 2 digit school number + 3 digit phone extension)
- Example at Admin Building = 799xxx, Palmer High School = 701xxx, etc
- Enter your password.
