Appendix 1: Word Templates
When utilizing District word templates, please note the following settings:

Margins:
- Left Margins are 0.75”
- Right Margins are 0.75”
- Top Margins are 0.75”
- Bottom Margins are 1.25”

Font:
- Use Verdana size 10 or 11 or Gill Sans size 11 or 12 for general text
- Use Verdana size 14 or Gill Sans size 14 for titles / section headers
- Bebas Neue and Nobel fonts are only to be used in MSBSD branding. They should not be used in word processing

Spacing:
- Spacing should be set to 1.0
- After headings, an extra space (size 11 font) may be utilized
- Verify that the image in the header/footer is set to Recolor > Automatic
- If necessary, use the “Enter” key on your keyboard to begin your text below the header design. Do not adjust the top margin.
- Second pages will populate automatically when needed and should not require any spacing changes.

Page numbers:
- Page numbers are located in the top right-hand corner
- Page numbers should not overlay or compete with header graphics in word documents. Generally speaking, page numbers should begin on page two of a document.
- Page numbers are formatted as “Page #” (ex. Page 2, Page 3, etc.)
- Use Verdana size 9 for page numbers
Appendix 2: Email
When utilizing District email, please note the following settings:

- Signatures should be in this format:

- Email signatures should not include:
- Photos
- Logos
- Images
- Quotes
- Email signatures may include:
- Cell phone numbers, formatted as such: Ph: 907-[phone number] | Cell: 907-[cell number] | Fax: 907-[fax number].
- An email template is available for download.

Email format

Email backgrounds should remain plain white
- Email backgrounds should not include any images, logos, or photos

Font
- Use Verdana size 10 or 11 or Gill Sans size 11 or 12 for general text
- Bebas Neue and Nobel fonts are only to be used in MSBSD branding. They should not be used in word processing
- Use Pantone 286 U [blue] (RGB 46/86/165) as the “blue” in your signature
- Note: depending on Outlook settings, signature colors may change on replies / forwarded emails. As long as the signature is the outlined standard on the initial email sent, this is acceptable.
Appendix 3: Colors
- MSBSD branding includes 4 color options:
- Pantone 286 U [blue] (RGB 46/86/165)
- True black
- Cool Gray (RGB 109/110/113)
- White
- To save Pantone 286 U and Cool Gray as font colors:
- Click the down-arrow next to font and select “More Colors”
- Click the “Custom” tab. In the Red field, enter the first number. In the Green field, enter the second number. In the Blue field, enter the third number. Click “OK.”
- The color will be added to “Recent Colors” in the font drop-down menu.
- No variations on these colors should be used.
Appendix 4: PPT Templates
- MSBSD offers two PowerPoint Templates/Themes for use.
- One theme utilizes the “gray tree” theme.
- The other theme utilizes the “blue mountains” theme.
- Templates for each theme are available for download.
- Themes should not be mixed within the same PPT presentation
- Templates exist in 4:3 ratio. Templates should not be used in Widescreen format because it distorts the logo.
