Viewing the School/Site Event Calendar (This is really the best way to view your calendar as this way shows both internal and community events)

Go to Employee Quick Links
Find the Brightly link
Click on it and it will bring you to a log in screen.
DO NOT use the email sign-in, click on the button Sign in using Network ID.
You will land on the calendar view. Use the Manage button at the top to get to the Admin portal.

Make sure you are focused to your school.
Go to the Pending Events section.
In the date range custom date range, clear out the date fields.
Site section, your location should already be there, check the Community Site.
Click Apply at the bottom.
At the top, Expand Quick Filter, click Add Filter
In the Name type "All Events Pending My Approval(Community and School Calendar)"
Check the box Set as Default to save this filter for future use.
Your school and the Community Site should appear in the box.
Save

Navigate to the Community Quick Links on our website.
Click on "Community Use (Facilities)":
Click on "COMMUNITY CALENDAR":
Pick a school from the mascots shown:
If you are not already signed-in, you will be prompted to do so.
- Employees must select "SIGN IN USING NETWORK ID".
Click "MY PROFILE" on the top right of the screen.
Click "CREATE AN EVENT" on the top left of the screen.
Fill out and submit the event request form.

Choose the school you wish to add an event to. (You may need to sign into Brightly if you haven't already)
Click My Profile at the top of the page.
Click the Create an Event at the far left.
Proceed as normal.

Events List - will show you details - you can click on event and see more details -
- If no organization name is listed this is an internal event.
- Approval workflow- if event is put in by school admins it will automatically have the approval checked here.
- Event history - show the process the event has gone through.
- Review Event button- This will show you the event request entered with all the information that had been entered. (Event can't be approved here, this is for review only.)
1. Pending Events List - will show all pending events awaiting approvals
  - Actions button on each event.
  - Review Event before approving - double check that the times are correct and not taking more time then is needed for the event, review the flyer. When done you will approve or deny the event. Note: If you deny the event, a reason will need to be noted.
  - Event Series- If there is a series for events and you need to edit it use the Edit Series. Note: if one of the dates in the series is not available to be approved, edit the series and contact the requestor of the change.

Sign in issues
1. Clear Browser history, see linked article for instructions.
2. Check to see if browser is updating, on Chrome go to 3 dots in the top right corner, Settings, bottom of menu on left, About Chrome.
3. If you click the Sign in with Network ID and it asks for a log in you can sign in using the O365 format or go to Employee Quick links and click the 0365 link, once you are signed into 0365, click the Brightly link and try again.
