Overview:

Log in with school email account at https://id.siteimprove.com/account/login and Navigate to the QA Overview summary page:

This will show you:

  1. Number of Broken Links
  2. Number of Misspellings
  3. Important Highlights – shows errors that affect multiple pages
  4. Priority Pages – based on page views
  5. Single Page Check – allows you to enter single URL
  6. PDFs with Broken Links – crawls pdf documents and checks links
  7. Generate QA Report – good report to distribute to staff, identifies by section & page.  (i.e. TEACHER NAME, Chemistry Syllabus)
  8. History – graph of errors over time.  Manual Re-crawl group (to identify new errors) at bottom right.

QA Spelling Quick Video

  1. Click on the Misspellings circle graphic on the Summary Page and you’ll see your list of misspellings.
    1. Hover over the word to see usage context on a page.

    2. Add the word to the dictionary- This adds to the district dictionary, use this only on standard Webster dictionary words.  We will add a District Standard version of words like Mat-Su, AK, iParent, Aimsweb that you will see as suggested spellings
    3. Ignore on all pages- This adds the word to the district library of ignored misspellings. Use only for misspelled words that are uncommon, but correct, i.e. Dena’ina or an uncommon name.
    4. Edit- Please don’t use this button
    5. Uncollapse- Use Plus button to see information for each page with the misspelling on it.  (See below)
  1. Once uncollapsed you'll see these icons

    1. Inspect Page – Shows Path to page and referring pages
    2. Open Page – opens URL in new tab so you can see the public page in your web browser
    3. CMS – Opens the Schoolwires Site-Manger to the section the page resides in so you can edit errors.
    4. Ignores misspelling.  Further re-crawls of the site will disregard it.
