Password Help

Overview:

This password help page is for employees to gain assistance on resetting their password with O365.

Features and Benefits:

To log in to the Password Help links you will need to add @ad.matsuk12.us to your username.


Authorized Users

The systems that this provides access to are active while the individual is working as an employee of MSBSD. Systems include:

Request Process:

  • Choose the password help you need in the above area.
  • If you have issues with the above items please choose request service on the right

User Responsibilities:

  • Your MSBSD computer account passwords should not be shared with anyone.
  • Create a strong password for your account and don't share it with anyone.
  • If you believe your account has been compromised, contact the Call Center immediately.

Requirements and Prerequisites:

  • Staff Password Requirements
    • 8 characters
    • At least one character from 3 of the 4 groups (uppercase, lowercase, number, special character)
    • Your last 5 passwords can't be re-used
  • Student password Requirements
    • Grades K-2; Not required to be changed, 5 characters long
    • Grades 3-8; 8 characters long
    • Grades 9-12; 8 characters long, at least one character from 3 of the 4 groups (uppercase, lowercase, number, special character)
  • Password Change Process
    • Windows computers prompt to change an expired password at login.
    • Chromebooks do not prompt for a password change at login. On a chromebook, the options are:
      • At the login screen, tap on “Apps” down in the lower left corner and open “MSBSD Password Help”
      • If they can get logged in, then go to the District Homepage, Employee Quicklinks, Password Recovery
      • Both of these will take them to the Self Service Password Reset Page.
