Confined Spaces

Overview:

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District (MSBSD) is committed to providing a safe work environment for our employees and students. In pursuit if this goal, the following Confined Spaces Plan is provided to establish the minimum requirements for work within a confined space, in accordance with OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.146.

The Confined Spaces Plan is a key document to assist MSBSD in implementing and ensuring compliance with the standard, thereby protecting our employees and students. This plan includes:

1. Identification of confined spaces on district property,
2. Controlling confined space access through permits,
3. Employee training,
4. Record Keeping
