Overview:
Which is the difference, which type of message do I use? Here is more detail on the difference between the message types.
POSTS
Posts are an efficient way to communicate with a class, grade level, group, or the entire school. You can further engage your families by including add-ons in your posts such as RSVPs, calendar entries, volunteer sign-ups, wish lists, forms.

MESSAGES
Direct messaging allows for private two-way communication between ParentSquare users.
When the message is sent to two or more recipients, choose between a group message with a single thread, or a private message with individual threads.
Two-way translation is built into ParentSquare direct messages which allows teachers and administrators to communicate with families despite any language barriers.
DIRECT MESSAGE OR GROUP CONVERSATION:

PAST MESSAGES:

ALERTS & NOTICES
Alerts feature allows you to send one-way messages to parents over email, text and voice. Send a Smart Alert for short parent reminders.
It's "smart" because the message is first sent as a text. If the user does not read the text, the system delivers the recorded voice message.
Text is preferred over voice messages by parents, and voice calls are often missed, resulting in calls to the school office.
Send an Urgent Alert for school-wide messages when there is a critical threat and speed of delivery is most important.
