ADD-ONS OPTIONS

Additional tools for communication, be sure to log into ParentSquare prior to using the links below.

Sign Ups: Instructions
  • Easy set up: Teachers can input the task, number of volunteers they need, and the time they will need the volunteers for. You can add multiple duties for users to volunteer for by clicking “add task.”
  • Sign ups for multiple days: If the event is recurring or lasts multiple days, click the 'Add Another Date' button. For wish lists, you can input as many items as you need and the amount you would like of each item. If the event you need items for lasts several days, or if the requested supplies will need to be repurchased in the future click on the 'Add Another Date' button.
  • Automatic Reminders: A follow up email requesting users to sign up will be sent the following day at 7pm if time slots are still open. This email is only sent to users on Instant setting. At 9am on the day before the event, a reminder will be sent to users who signed up.
  • Message Volunteers: Parentsquare allows you to send a message only to the individuals who have signed up in case you need to send them any special instructions.
RSVPs
Schools can request RSVP for an event in order to get a count of how many individuals will attend their event. Another benefit is that an automatic reminder is sent to people who RSVP for an event.
  • Include information on RSVP: Users can input the number of adults and children that will be joining them at the event. On their RSVP, they can leave a note such as what they’re going to bring to the event.
  • Ability to change RSVP: After they have RSVP'd, users have the option to change their RSVP from “yes” to “no” if their plans change.
Forms/Permission Slips
Forms and permission slips feature in ParentSquare makes it easy to obtain Parent permission for things like field trips, and special school events.
  • Parent Signature: If your form requires a parent signature, you can select this option when creating your form. Parents will then be able to provide their signature by entering their name in the Electronic Signature box and clicking a button to indicate approval/disapproval.
  • Form Input: On the form you can ask for additional information such as if the student has any allergies, or if they will need a lunch provided on the trip. You can ask multiple questions by clicking “add question” at the bottom of the page.
  • Export Completed Forms: You can view and sort through the forms in order to see which parents have not yet completed the form. Once you have ensured that your parents have all completed the forms, you can export the forms and print them out to take with you
Polls
Polls allow you to get a quick answer from your community.
  • Simple setup: You can create the poll with your question and then add as many potential answers as you would like. Currently, polls can only include one question and users can only pick one answer.
  • Feedback: Users can provide anonymous feedback on the poll which is only visible to the author of the poll. This way, they can provide more details on their answer which could be helpful to the poll author.
