Creating a Preferred Sub List

Overview:

Follow these instructions to create a preferred substitute list in Absence Management.

NOT UPDATED BY HR AT THIS TIME, MIGHT NOT BE ACCURATE. 

 

Instructions:

  1. Sign in to Frontline, Absence Management using the ID and PIN provided by the Mat Su Borough School District.

  2. From your homepage, click on the “Account” tab at the top of the page.

  3. When your “Account” tab loads, select “Preferred Substitutes” from the left-hand menu.

  4. Click Add Substitute. A search box will load. Type part of the substitute’s last name. As you type, a list of substitutes fitting that last name will appear. Select the substitute you want.
  5. After selecting the sub from the list, click on “Add to Preferred Substitutes.”

  6. Repeat steps four and five to add up to five substitutes to your list. Their names will appear in the box below the search bar. Please note: you can remove subs from your preferred sub list at any time by clicking on the check box beside their name and clicking “Remove Selected Substitute.”

  7. To order your subs preferentially, click on the box with a heart that appears to the left of the sub’s name under the “Order” column.

  8. The heart will turn red and a number will appear to the left of the sub’s name. Select the “Check Mark” when you are finished ordering your preferred sub list.

  9. Repeat steps seven and eight to select all employees.

  10. Re-order the preferred sub list by Clicking on the Heart icon and selecting the heart again, in the order that you would like the subs to be contacted. Substitutes will be contacted in the order you put them before the job is opened to the general populace.

  11. When your preferred sub list is in the order you want, select the “Check Mark Icon,” this will save your list.
