Campus User - How to Split Absences for Multiple Subs

Overview:

Follow these instructions to split an absence when you have a multiple day absence that needs to be filled by more than one sub. You can also split an absence when one sub is covering the first half of the day and another is covering the second half of the day.
 

Instructions:

  1. Sign in to Absence Management using the ID and PIN provided by the Mat-Su Borough School District.

  2. From your homepage, click an unfilled position that needs to be filled by a sub.

  3. Once the absence confirmation page loads you can click the split absence button in the lower left hand corner of the absence.

  4. A split absence screen will load and you will have the opportunity select one or multiple dates that you would like to group into a new absence that one sub will fill. Then you can fill another sub into the current absence.

  5. Once you select the dates that you would like to split, click create split absence.

  6. A split absence screen will come up informing you about which dates you have selected to split, so that you can review this information is correct. If the information is correct, select Save Split Absence.

  7. You will return to the original absence screen that you split and an absence confirmation pop up window will display at the top of the screen, confirming that your new absence was created. You will also see a bar at the top of the absence that displays the related absences that you split with the confirmation number, so that you can keep track of the employee’s absences, as well as the substitute positions.

  8. Click  the related absence to reassign to a new sub.    Click the Reassign Sub button. 

  9. Search by last name for the sub you are reassigning the job to then click Reassign. 

  10. Click reassign
