Mass Notification Blackboard/Smore Integration

Overview:

Smore is a simple content creation tool that lets users create gorgeous newsletters. A partnership between Blackboard & Smore brings Smore directly into the Mass Notifications messaging interface. Drag and drop experience allows content creators to design newsletters that are as engaging as they are beautiful. If you do not already have a Smore account, a trial is setup in your Mass Notifications interface.

Other Information:

  1. Currently only District and School Administrator accounts can leverage the integration. Teachers Messaging is on the roadmap.
  2. Because Blackboard cannot translate the format used within the Smore app, only newsletters created in Balckboard can be sent using Mass Notification. We suggest you create a new newsletter template within the Blackboard interface, which is very similar to the Smore interface. 
     

Free account:

  1. Free restrictions - Only 10 newsletter credits. Each of the 10 can be reused and resent after editing, but the newsletter can only be edited for 4 weeks after creation.
