Overview:
Log in with school email account at https://id.siteimprove.com/account/login and Navigate to the QA Overview summary page:
This will show you:
- Number of Broken Links
- Number of Misspellings
- Important Highlights – shows errors that affect multiple pages
- Priority Pages – based on page views
- Single Page Check – allows you to enter single URL
- PDFs with Broken Links – crawls pdf documents and checks links
- Generate QA Report – good report to distribute to staff, identifies by section & page. (i.e. TEACHER NAME, Chemistry Syllabus)
- History – graph of errors over time. Manual Re-crawl group (to identify new errors) at bottom right.

BROKEN LINKS
QA Broken Links Quick Video
- Click on the Broken Links circle graphic to address Links.
- You’ll see a list of broken links. Hover on one and you’ll see new icons show up.
- Link to the broken link URL
- Uncollapse/Plus - Opens more information on the link
- Ignores broken link. Further re-crawls of the site will disregard it.
- Uncollapse the record using the plus button. You can click on the Page Title to open a page report in a new window. This shows both link, spelling and accessibility issues for the page. Hover over the Section/Page name to see these icons.
- Inspect Page – Shows Path to page and referring pages
- Open Page – opens URL in new tab so you can see the public page in your web browser
- CMS – Opens the Schoolwires Site-Manger to the section the page resides in so you can edit errors.
MISSPELLINGS
QA Spelling Quick Video
- Click on the Misspellings circle graphic on the Summary Page and you’ll see your list of misspellings.
- Hover over the word to see usage context on a page.
- Add the word to the dictionary- This adds to the district dictionary, use this only on standard Webster dictionary words. We will add a District Standard version of words like Mat-Su, AK, iParent, Aimsweb that you will see as suggested spellings
- Ignore on all pages- This adds the word to the district library of ignored misspellings. Use only for misspelled words that are uncommon, but correct, i.e. Dena’ina or an uncommon name.
- Edit- Please don’t use this button
- Uncollapse- Use Plus button to see information for each page with the misspelling on it. (See below)
- Once uncollapsed you'll see these icons
