Appendix 2: Email

When utilizing District email, please note the following settings:

• Signatures:
  • Signatures should be in this format:
    [First Name] [Last Name] – [Job Title/Position]
    Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District
    Ph: 907-[phone number] | Fax: 907-[fax number]

  • Example:
    Sam Smith – 1st Grade Teacher
    Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District

  • Email signatures should not include:
    • Photos
    • Logos
    • Images
    • Quotes
  • Email signatures may include:
    • Cell phone numbers, formatted as such: Ph: 907-[phone number] | Cell: 907-[cell number] | Fax: 907-[fax number].
  • An email template is available for download.

• Email format
  • Email backgrounds should remain plain white
  • Email backgrounds should not include any images, logos, or photos

• Font
  • Use Verdana size 10 or 11 or Gill Sans size 11 or 12 for general text
  • Bebas Neue and Nobel fonts are only to be used in MSBSD branding. They should not be used in word processing
  • Use Pantone 286 U [blue] (RGB 46/86/165) as the “blue” in your signature
    • Note: depending on Outlook settings, signature colors may change on replies / forwarded emails. As long as the signature is the outlined standard on the initial email sent, this is acceptable.
