Arbiter Tab Descriptions

 
Overview: Description of the tabs in Arbiter and hints on using them.
 

SCHEDULE - Where you put in games, matches, practices and tournaments

  • Put in all schedules against non-arbiter teams
  • Put in home games against Arbiter teams
  • Host team enters Tourneys/Meets.  If non-arbiter hosted Region III or State meet ADs will designate who puts it in.
  • Types of schedules
    • Games - Only type of schedule you can import
    • Practices
    • Tourneys - Tourney allows you to have multiple dates, sites, teams and will add offers game creation for brackets. THE TOURNEY DOES NOT FLOW TO FACILITY USE UNTIL YOU ADD GAMES & ALL OPPONENTS MUST ACCEPT CONTRACT
    • Meets - Meets allow multiple teams participating in one event.
    • Events - add an * in title to let Julane know you need HVAC
  • If you don't want TRA info to publish to parents leave unchecked.  Best practice until vetted it completely.
 

STUDENTS

  • This is where you will import students and Student’s Teams
  • Apps team will import all district students at the beginning of each year.
  • Transferring/Off Cam students will be available to you all year.
  • New enrollments must be added manually for now.
 

PAYMENTS:

TEAMS 

  • Create new Teams and set team defaults like Site/Subsite, Officials, Game Times, etc
  • Create Roster manually
  • Smart Scheduler Setup rules for creating multiple games with entry of a single game
  • Use Team Standards so schools teams are matching

SITES

  • Not every room in the school is in Arbiter, only the main Rooms.  Each school has a sub-site called "XXX" Events to use when room isn't in Arbiter.
  • Feel free to add sites outside the district using wizard - watch for duplicates. Don't add any new sites/subsites in Arbiter, If room isn’t in the subsite list do one of these two things:
    • Room is a main room for activities and needs added to Arbiter/SchoolDude - let Apps Team know and they'll set it up
    • Room isn't a main room used often - choose “XXX” Event as subsite and add the room # to end of Event Title for Julane to assign room in SchoolDude
  • If you are PJM and having a game at PHS, don't add PHS gym to your site.  Use PHS Site and PHS Gym subsite already created.
  • If you are PJM and having a game at Alcantra don't add Alcantra to your site.  Use Alcantra site already created.
